THE OCULUS — DETAIL NOTE

A freestanding reading pavilion lit by a single north-facing oculus and nothing else — the building has no artificial lighting circuit; it is only “on” when the sun is.

No switches, no circuit, no fittings. One north-facing oculus walks a disc of daylight across the reading floor; when the disc reaches the door, the room is closed.
